The Show Has Begun
Spanning conventions, rock shows, dungeons, and night life hotspots across NJ, NY, MA, and PA, the White Elephant Burlesque Society was initially formed in 2006. Melding a gypsy cabaret approach with vaudevillian burlesque, this performance group features a variety of bawdy humor, salacious dancing, and a sincere, modern adaptation of the classic style that has never been more relevant.

Greetings, my cherub-cheeked chickadees! Fae is here with an exciting newsflash! Long ago, in the far away time of January 2008, a few members from the White Elephant Burlesque Society attended a birthday party for a friend of Voltaire. As most of you know, Voltaire is a darling man, and quite a lovely host, if I do say so myself. Some gallant people caught the whole soiree on film and made a jaunty music video, which you can now see here!
In other news, the holidays are all around us and all your favorite White Elephants want to wish each and every one of you a very happy holiday season. We plan to keep stomping across America in 2009, with more tricks up our garters. There already are a few shows booked for next year, which you can view on our Gatherings page. We're also open to any suggestions or bookings, through the handy Contact page. While our calendars do get a bit more complicated during the Holidays (we're all Social Elephants, aren't we?) we'd still love to hear from you. If we can do the event you have in mind, we most certainly will. Simply put, don't ever hesitate to ask us to perform at your latest party, convention, shindig, soiree or Saturday night.
And now for news! Our Halloween Bash at the Diva Lounge was a smashing and sexy success. Photos and videos will be up shortly, but for now, delight in the videos from SalonCon 2008 that are up on our lovely YouTube channel. Videos from Pi-Con will be up shortly, so stay tuned!
